LTT-GAN: Looking Through Turbulence by Inverting GANs

چکیده

In many applications of long-range imaging, we are faced with a scenario where person appearing in the captured imagery is often degraded by atmospheric turbulence. However, restoring such images for face verification difficult since degradation causes to be geometrically distorted and blurry. To mitigate turbulence effect, this paper, propose first mitigation method that makes use visual priors encapsulated well-trained GAN. Based on priors, learn preserve identity restored spatial periodic contextual distance. Such distance can keep realism from GAN while considering difference at network learning. addition, hierarchical pseudo connections proposed facilitating identity-preserving learning introducing more appearance variance without changing. Extensive experiments show our significantly outperforms prior art both quality accuracy results.

Fictitious GAN: Training GANs with Historical Models

Generative adversarial networks (GANs) are powerful tools for learning generative models. In practice, the training may suffer from lack of convergence. GANs are commonly viewed as a two-player zerosum game between two neural networks. Here, we leverage this game theoretic view to study the convergence behavior of the training process. Inspired by the fictitious play learning process, a novel t...

Face Super-Resolution Through Wasserstein GANs

Generative adversarial networks (GANs) have received a tremendous amount of attention in the past few years, and have inspired applications addressing a wide range of problems. Despite its great potential, GANs are difficult to train. Recently, a series of papers (Arjovsky & Bottou, 2017a; Arjovsky et al. 2017b; and Gulrajani et al. 2017) proposed using Wasserstein distance as the training obje...

Through the Looking Glass

In 1986, when I first started to think about the invariant theory of finite groups, there existed only one superb reference, the article by R.P. Stanley[1]. Since that time, there has been an explosion of interest, with many books and articles published, and conferences held. For example, there are two books by Bernd Sturmfels[2],[3], David Benson’s book[4] Polynomial Invariants of Finite Group...

It is frequently possible to produce new Calabi–Yau threefolds from old ones by a process of allowing the complex structure to degenerate to a singular one, and then performing a resolution of singularities. (Some care is needed to ensure that the Calabi– Yau condition be preserved.) There has been speculation that all Calabi–Yau threefolds could be linked in this way, and considerable evidence...

Providing the foundation for the entire hematopoietic system throughout the life of an organism, limited numbers of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) must remain largely quiescent, only entering the cell cycle when required to provide differentiated progeny. Indeed, the quiescent state of the cell cycle is believed to be indispensible for the maintenance of HSCs. HSCs must balance their entry int...
